Choose Hui and Get a FREE Shaka Guide Tour!

We have some exciting news! We’ve teamed up with Hui, an Oahu-based car share program to make exploring the island even easier. Beginning December 9th, when you rent a car with Hui you’ll have access to our Circle Island tour — for FREE!

Ready to start your adventure? Here’s how it works.

Hui allows you to find an available car nearby, pick it up using your phone — yep, you read that right, your phone — and explore the island with ease. The best part? You only pay for the hours you use the car

OK, it sounds pretty cool right? To start, download the Hui app. Once you’ve got it on your smartphone you can find available cars in your area. There are a bunch in Honolulu, a few in Ko Olina and even some near Pearl City. Here’s a Hui stations map: www.drivehui.com/hui-stations

After you’ve found your car and set up your account, your phone will become a digital key to unlock the doors and start the vehicle. You can see how it works here. Once you’re in the car, look for the Shaka QR code on the dash. Take a picture with your phone — this will prompt you to download Shaka Guide’s Oahu app. Download the app and you’ll see the Circle Island tour is available for FREE!

Once the tour is downloaded, you’ll begin making your way to the North Shore. Watch surfers test their skills at Bonzai Pipeline, hike to a waterfall in Waimea Valley, and grab a Dole Whip at the Dole Plantation. There’s so much to see and do along the route but don’t worry — we’ll tell you the best places to stop with stories along the way!

When you’re ready to return the car, drop it off in the same spot you picked it up from. It’s that simple!

Click here to visit the Drive Hui site and download the app.

Got Questions? We’ve Got You Covered. Here are some FAQ’s:

  • 24/7 help desk
  • 24/7 roadside assistance

How much does Hui cost?

Why Should I choose Shaka Guide?

Shaka Guide gives you the freedom to explore Hawaii, at your own pace. We give you the itinerary, and you pick what you want to do. Don’t feel like hiking? No worries. Want to visit as many beaches as you can? Sounds good to us! We’ll give you loads of recommendations, history, and fun music along the way.

How long is the Circle Island tour?

It’s as long as you want it to be! If you want to do everything on the tour, it takes about seven hours. But, feel free to skip spots to save time or break the tour up into two days.
