Five Most Instagrammable Places in Kauai

Kauai is one of the most naturally beautiful places in Hawaii. It’s known as the Garden Island, and for good reason — it’s filled with rich forests and greenery.

1. Waimea Canyon

Waimea Canyon is one of the most Instagrammable photo worthy places in Kauai because of the stunning views overlooking a major portion of the island! It is also a unique destination as you won’t find the “Grand Canyon” terrain anywhere else in Hawaii apart from Waimea!

2. Wailua Falls

If you’ve ever heard of the TV show Fantasy Island, Wailua Falls will look very familiar. It takes places here…and for good reason! Wailua is a double-tier waterfall that is used as a symbol for Kauai’s lush beauty. A perfect location to catch perfect Instagram photos in Kauai island.

3. Poipu Beach

This crescent-shaped beach was named the best beach in America! Thus, making it completely Instagrammable. If you’re looking for perfect Instagram photos in Kauai, make sure to come in the morning. It gets crowded in the afternoon. After all, it is the most popular beach on the Shaka Guide Poipu and Koloa Driving Tour!

Throwback to our babymoon in Kauai. It’s hard to beat this beautiful beach destination. Although there are so many places to explore, we love that it’s only 6-hour non-stop flight away from San Diego. And if you live or have lived in San Diego, you know there are not that many places you can fly to non-stop😁 How to save on flights to Hawaii: ➡️Apply for Alaska credit card – you will get the companion pass, so essentially you buy one ticket and second ticket only cost $99 plus tax. Plus you get miles as a sign-up bonus (which you can use for free flights too). Make sure you have good enough credit to be approved for the card• ➡️Save enough miles to book it for free – I used 25,000 Avios (that’s the name for British Airways miles) per round trip tickets for me and my husband (50,000 total) from San Diego to Kauai and with Avios you can book it on Alaska Airlines non-stop flights. That’s a pretty good deal as other airlines generally require more miles than that. You can get miles from credit cards or even online shopping for your whole family• Have you been to Hawaii? What’s your favorite island? 4. Hanalei Pier

Hanalei Pier is where you’ll get the calm beach oasis feel perfect for top and trending Instagram photos in Kauai. The beautiful landscape was once used as a working pier for cane sugar. Catch the sunset to make for a serene picture and try to visit on a weekday to avoid the local crowd.

5. Kilauea Lighthouse

With vast views overlooking the ocean, head to the Kilauea Lighthouse! This setting will make you feel in awe as you take in the beauty of the little outcrop of land where the lighthouse sits. It looks magical with the ocean cliffs, especially at sunrise or sunset. Take a picture with the backdrop of the ocean or snap a picture with the lighthouse in the background!
